Q: I heard you guys and House of Heroes had a fight with fireworks, is this true?

A: haha yes, Mark is a big fireworks guy. He bought a bunch of ammo in Indiana and saved it for the last couple nights of tour. One time we got to a venue a little early and hid out until they arrived. It was GROUND ZERO when we were done!

Q: What advice would you give to someone who wants nothing more than to be doing what you're doing - writing and recording music and touring?

A: Sound a little trite, but you have to be yourself to the 100th degree. Noone needs another clone in the music industry, I think at times I strived to emulate other artists I admired, but it set the band back.

A: I'm not sure, I would like to think every song will be different to some extent, but tell me what you like about it in particular and I can certainly try.

Q: any tips for writing lyrics? i really like your guys' lyrics

A: I have been through lots of phases with my lyrical style, lately my main thing has just been to have a simple message for each song. There's been times when I've tried to be a little too poetic with my lyrics IMO and the message gets thin. It's ALWAYS helped me to keep a lyric notebook though, just write down anything in there that strikes you, it'll come in handy at some point.
